Cochise SAR Teams

ATV teams are used when a large area needs to be covered in a search. Training is provided by the Cochise County Sheriff's Department and all members are encouraged to become certified.

Support Operations through managing mission radios and assisting in the incident command post.

Consists of members who perform searches for missing individuals throughout Cochise County. All members of Search and Rescue (SAR) are involved in this team.

A few volunteers and coordinators handle the risks of helicopter work, repelling from the helicopter and short hauling injured individuals out of the terrain Cochise County is known for. Certification is performed every three months.

The Mounted Team uses their unique perspective to help track subjects in the field. Capable of hauling loads in complicated and steep terrain aids the Ground and Technical Teams in the most complicated rescues

Take on the challenge when the monsoon season is in full swing and flash floods sweep subjects attempting to cross flooded washes.

Providing South Earstern Arizona's only Public Safety Dive Team, Aid and assist in the recovery of evidence, and drowning victims from lakes located within Cochise County.

Handle rescues within highly vertical terrain rescuing and recover and are responsible for handling haul/lower systems to retrieve fallen and injured hikers/climbers
